Nadi’S Subtle

NADI’S Subtle Pranic Energy channels in the body

There are some 72,000 subtle Energy channels carrying Pranic Force in the body. These are called “Nadi’s”. Most all Nadis have their endings on the soles of the feet and on the palms of the hands. Chinese Accupressure also addresses these meridians (Nadis) in their system of treatment. In the Indian system:

There are 10 Nadi channels, 3 are most important:

IDA – Left side
PINGALA – Right side
Every 90 minutes the energies change channels.
Female line (Shakthi) Male Line (Shiva)
Moon Sun
Parasympathetic Nervous sys Sympathetic Nervous sys
Fe = passive, intuitive Male= extrovert
Right side of brain Left side of brain
Left Nostril Right Nostril
Mind overactive Body overactive (restless)
Low heart and pulse rate Heart+respiration+senses increase
Incr phy work, digestion, heart rate
Sleep = mental unrest Sleep = physical unrest

When the energies are balanced between the Ida and Pingala then the mind feels peaceful, at rest – the Energy channels are clear and open.

When these Nadi’s become blocked, predominantly due to stress, anxiety, anger, etc, the Prana becomes blocked or will not flow evenly. The result in this subtle body, takes its toll eventually in the physical body manifesting as pain, illness, disease. It is important therefore to lead a balanced life, equal-minded in the face of difficulties in order to keep proper uncurtailed flow of Pranic Energy in our system, making our bodies free from illness and our minds at peace.

The 3.5 times coiled serpant, “Kundalini” residing in the Mooladhara Chakra raises up the Sushumna (center spinal energy Nadi) passing through each charka and finally arriving at the Sahasrara charka at the Crown of the head.

This Primal Shakthi Energy, Mother Kundalini raises according to one’s inner purity and efforts towards self-realization.
